Description:
Premium Acrylic Finish (PAF) e2 is an elastomeric 100% acrylic architectural finish designed to provide durable, decorative surfaces for exterior stucco and EIFS assemblies.

The finish incorporates Dirt Pick Up Resistant (DPR) technology which reduces the adhesion of airborne contaminants to the surface, helping maintain a cleaner appearance over time.

PAF e2 is suitable for application over properly prepared cement plaster basecoats, Crack Resistant System (CRS) reinforced assemblies, masonry substrates, EIFS basecoats, and other approved substrates. The finish is available in multiple textures designed to achieve a wide range of architectural appearances.

The elastomeric formulation provides enhanced flexibility and crack-bridging capability compared to conventional acrylic finishes.

Packaging:
-
Product is packaged in 5 Gallon / 65 lb pails
-
27 pails per pallet

Premixed Color pails are available per regional production. PAF Color Pak units are packaged separately for use with PAF e2 materials.

Coverage:
Coverage varies depending on selected texture, substrate condition, and application technique.

Approximately:
-
Super Fine e2: 130–150 square feet per pail
-
Fine e2: 110–130 square feet per pail
-
Medium e2: 100–120 square feet per pail
-
Coarse e2: 80–100 square feet per pail
-
Classic e2: 80–100 square feet per pail

Mixing:
PAF e2 is supplied ready for use.

Prior to application, thoroughly mix the material using a slow-speed mechanical mixer until a uniform consistency is achieved.

If necessary, a small amount of clean potable water may be added to adjust workability not exceeding 8 oz per pail. Do not over-dilute the material.

Tinting is accomplished by incorporating WBP PAF Color Pak units into the pail.

Base Finish + PAF Color Pak Mixing:
When using Base Finish material with PAF Color Pak:
-
Add full PAF Color Pak contents per batching instructions directly to the pail.
-
Mechanically mix thoroughly to ensure complete pigment dispersion.
-
Continue mixing until material color is uniform throughout the batch.
-
Small amounts of potable water may be added if necessary to adjust workability not exceeding 8 oz per pail.

Incomplete blending of pigment may result in color inconsistency.

Application:
PAF e2 shall be applied over properly prepared and fully cured stucco basecoats, EIFS reinforced basecoats, masonry substrates, or other approved substrates.

Substrates must be clean, dry, structurally sound, and free of dust, dirt, efflorescence, oils, curing compounds, or other contaminants that may interfere with adhesion.

Application of Multi-Use Primer (PAF Primer) prior to installation of the finish coat is recommended to improve adhesion and color uniformity. Primer may be used at the discretion of the applicator and is required where higher system warranty tiers are specified in the applicable WBP system warranty schedule.

PAF e2 may be applied by stainless steel trowel or approved spray equipment. Apply the material uniformly to a thickness consistent with the selected texture and work to the desired architectural appearance while maintaining a continuous wet edge.

Curing:
Protect freshly applied material from precipitation, freezing temperatures, and rapid drying conditions until the coating has properly cured.

Allow sufficient drying time before exposure to heavy moisture or adverse environmental conditions.

Finishing:
After initial application, the finish may be floated or worked according to the selected texture profile. Work the material uniformly to achieve the desired architectural appearance and consistent texture.

For finer textures such as Super Fine and Fine, a double-coat application is recommended to help ensure uniform coverage and reduce the potential for substrate shadowing.

Field sample panels are recommended prior to project installation to verify color and texture.

Limitations:
-
Not a waterproofing membrane.
-
Protect from freezing
-
Does not prevent cracking caused by structural movement, substrate instability, or improper joint placement.
-
Smooth finishes are more susceptible to cracking and color variation.
-
Control joints shall comply with project drawings and specifications prepared by the design authority, or ASTM C1063.

Do not apply when surface or ambient temperatures are at or below 40°F / 4.4°C or above 100°F / 38°C. Do not apply to surfaces that are contaminated with bond breakers, oils or other matter that may affect the performance of the product. Do not apply if conditions are expected to be above or below the specified temperature range within 24 hours of application. Do not add additional ingredients without specific written approval from an authorized manufacturer of Western Blended Products.
Storage:
Premium Acrylic Finish (PAF) e2 shall be kept indoors or if stored outdoors shall be adequately covered to keep dry and be stored off the ground.
