Premium Acrylic Finish - Multi-Use Paint
A 100% Acrylic Architectural Re-Color solution
designed for Exterior & Interior applications.
Product Information
Description:
PAF Multi-Use Paint is a water-based 100% acrylic architectural coating designed to provide durable protection and decorative appearance for exterior and interior wall surfaces.

The formulation provides resistance to weathering and environmental exposure while maintaining color stability and film durability. The coating may be used to restore or refresh previously finished wall surfaces.

PAF Multi-Use Paint is compatible with Western Blended Products finishing systems and may be applied over properly prepared acrylic finishes, stucco surfaces, masonry substrates, and other approved surfaces.

The product may be tinted using the Western Blended Products PAF Color Pak system or supplied as a factory-tinted coating depending on project requirements.

Packaging:
-
Product is packaged in 5 Gallon / ~60 lb pails
-
27 pails per pallet

Premixed Color pails are available per regional production. PAF Color Pak units are packaged separately for use with PAF Multi-Use Paint materials.

Product Uses:
PAF Multi-Use Paint is used as a decorative and protective coating for existing finished wall assemblies.

The coating functions as an acrylic-based recolor solution designed to change or refresh the color of existing finished exterior or interior surfaces.

PAF Multi-Use Paint may be applied over properly prepared stucco, acrylic finishes, masonry, concrete, and other approved substrates within Western Blended Products finishing systems.

Benefits:
-
Durable acrylic coating for exterior and interior applications
-
Designed for recolor and restoration of existing finished surfaces
-
Compatible with WBP stucco and acrylic finish systems
-
Provides uniform color coverage across textured substrates
-
Available in a wide range of colors

Coverage:
Coverage varies depending on substrate condition, surface texture, and application technique.

-
Typical coverage ranges from approximately 1,000–1,500 ft² (93–140 m²) per 5 gallon pail.

Actual coverage may vary depending on jobsite conditions. The most reliable method for determining coverage is to apply the coating to a measured test area using the same substrate and application techniques intended for the project.

Mixing:
PAF Multi-Use Paint may be supplied as a factory-tinted coating or as a base material for use with the WBP Color Pak system.

Prior to application, thoroughly mix the material in the pail using a slow-speed mechanical mixer until a uniform consistency is achieved.

If necessary, a small amount of clean potable water may be added to adjust workability. Do not over-dilute the material.

Tinting is accomplished by incorporating WBP PAF Color Pak units into the pail.

Base Finish + PAF Color Pak Mixing:
When using PAF Multi-Use Paint with the WBP Color Pak system.
Recommended procedure:
-
Add full PAF Color Pak contents per batching instructions directly to the pail.
-
Mechanically mix thoroughly to ensure complete pigment dispersion.
-
Continue mixing until material color is uniform throughout the batch.
-
Small amounts of potable water may be added if necessary to adjust workability not exceeding 8 oz per pail.

Incomplete blending of pigment may result in color inconsistency.

Application:
PAF Multi-Use Paint shall be applied over properly prepared substrates.

Substrates must be clean, dry, structurally sound, and free of dust, dirt, efflorescence, oils, curing compounds, or other contaminants that may interfere with adhesion.

The coating may be applied by brush, roller, or approved spray equipment.

Apply the coating uniformly to achieve consistent coverage across the wall surface while maintaining the existing substrate texture.

Multiple coats may be required depending on substrate condition, substrate color, and desired color coverage.

Curing:
Drying time will vary depending on temperature, humidity, and substrate conditions.

Protect freshly applied material from precipitation, freezing temperatures, and adverse environmental conditions until the coating has properly dried.

Allow sufficient drying time between coats when multiple coats are required.

Limitations:
-
Not a waterproofing membrane.
-
Protect from freezing
-
Substrate must be clean, dry, and properly cured prior to application.
-
Does not repair substrate defects or structural cracking.
-
Application of multiple paint coats may reduce the visual definition of very fine or small-aggregate finish textures. The paint film may partially fill micro-texture profiles, which can soften the appearance of the original finish texture when compared to the unpainted surface.

Do not apply when surface or ambient temperatures are at or below 40°F / 4.4°C or above 100°F / 38°C. Do not apply to surfaces that are contaminated with bond breakers, oils or other matter that may affect the performance of the product. Do not apply if conditions are expected to be above or below the specified temperature range within 24 hours of application. Do not add additional ingredients without specific written approval from an authorized manufacturer of Western Blended Products.

Storage:
PAF Multi-Use Paint shall be kept indoors or if stored outdoors shall be adequately covered to keep dry and stored off the ground.
