A 100% Acrylic-Based, Decorative Aggregate,
Architectural Finish for Exterior& Interior applications.
Description:
Premium Acrylic Finish (PAF) Vera Mist is a 100% acrylic architectural finish incorporating fine quartz aggregates. The finish provides a textured decorative surface for interior and exterior stucco assemblies.

The fine quartz aggregate blend produces a uniform speckled surface appearance with subtle tonal variation across the finished surface. When applied, the finish creates a refined stone-like appearance commonly used in architectural wall finishes.
Quartz aggregates are factory blended into the acrylic binder to provide consistent aggregate distribution and uniform finish characteristics across the applied surface.

PAF Vera Mist incorporates Dirt Pick Up Resistant (DPR) technology which reduces the adhesion of airborne contaminants to the surface and assists in maintaining a cleaner finish over time.

PAF Vera Mist is designed for application over properly prepared cement plaster basecoats and other approved cementitious substrates where a decorative aggregate finish is specified.

Packaging:
-
Product is packaged in 5 Gallon / 60 lb pails
-
27 pails per pallet

Product Uses:
PAF Vera Mist is used as a decorative and protective finish coat over:
-
Western 1-Kote exterior stucco systems
-
Western One-Pass exterior stucco systems
-
Conventional three-coat stucco systems
-
Crack-Resistant System (CRS) reinforced stucco assemblies
-
EIFS reinforced basecoat assemblies
-
Properly prepared masonry and concrete substrates

PAF Vera Mist may be used for interior and exterior applications where an architectural aggregate finish is specified.
Benefits:
-
Dirt Pick Up Resistant (DPR) technology helps maintain a cleaner surface appearance
-
Durable 100% acrylic binder provides weather resistance
-
Factory-blended natural aggregate distribution for consistent appearance
-
Compatible with cementitious stucco assemblies

Aggregate Color Combinations:
PAF Vera Mist utilizes natural aggregates to produce the finished appearance.

PAF Specialty Finishes are manufactured using ten (10) standard natural aggregate color combinations.

Color packs, tinting systems, or field pigment additions are not permitted.

Coverage:
Coverage varies depending on substrate condition, application technique, and jobsite conditions.
Approximately:
-
Vera Mist: 95 square feet per pail at 1/8 in thickness.
Mixing:
PAF Vera Mist is supplied ready for use.

Prior to application, thoroughly mix the material using a slow-speed mechanical mixer until a uniform consistency and aggregate distribution is achieved.

If necessary, a small amount of clean potable water may be added to adjust workability. Do not over-dilute the material.
Material should be periodically mixed during application to maintain uniform aggregate distribution.

Application:
PAF Vera Mist shall be applied over properly prepared and fully cured stucco basecoats or other approved cementitious substrates.

Substrates must be clean, dry, structurally sound, and free of dust, dirt, efflorescence, oils, curing compounds, or other contaminants that may interfere with adhesion.

Application of Multi-Use Primer (PAF Primer) prior to installation of the finish coat is recommended to improve adhesion and promote uniform substrate conditions.

PAF Vera Mist is applied using a stainless steel trowel. The material shall be applied uniformly to a nominal thickness of 1/8 in.
Work the material to achieve a consistent surface appearance while maintaining a continuous wet edge during application.
Finishing:
After application, lightly float the surface using a plastic trowel or finishing float to produce uniform aggregate exposure.

Floating techniques help bring the quartz and mica aggregates to the surface and develop the finished architectural appearance.

Float lightly across the surface while maintaining uniform pressure. Clean the float several times during the finishing process to prevent material buildup and maintain consistent aggregate exposure.

Finishing should be performed uniformly across the installation surface to maintain a consistent architectural appearance.

Curing:
Protect freshly applied material from precipitation, freezing temperatures, and rapid drying conditions until the coating has properly cured.

Allow sufficient drying time before exposure to heavy moisture or adverse environmental conditions.
Limitations:
-
Not a waterproofing membrane.
-
Protect from freezing
-
Does not prevent cracking caused by structural movement, substrate instability, or improper joint placement.

Do not apply when surface or ambient temperatures are at or below 40°F / 4.4°C or above 100°F / 38°C. Do not apply to surfaces that are contaminated with bond breakers, oils or other matter that may affect the performance of the product. Do not apply if conditions are expected to be above or below the specified temperature range within 24 hours of application. Do not add additional ingredients without specific written approval from an authorized manufacturer of Western Blended Products.
Storage:
Premium Acrylic Finish (PAF) Vera Mist shall be kept indoors or if stored outdoors shall be adequately covered to keep dry and be stored off the ground.
