Description:
PAF Nova Stone is an acrylic-based finish coat which combines quartz and mica chips in a variety of standard colors. PAF Nova Stone is a resistant finish coat that offers a natural and distinctive natural aggregate look on exterior and interior surfaces. PAF Nova Stone is unique finish coat option for designers and building owners.

Packaging:
PAF Nova Stone is packaged in a 60 Lb (27.21 Kgs) pail.

Benefits and Use:
PAF Nova Stone is pre-mixed and ready to apply. PAF Nova Stone has excellent color retention and is also an extremely durable DPR architectural acrylic finish, which could be used in a variety of interior and exterior systems. Although PAF Nova Stone is recommended over Western 1-Kote exterior stucco systems previously prepared with BPS Super Fine Skim Coat, it can also be applied over properly prepared substrates such as masonry, concrete and other approved stucco systems.

Coverage:
PAF Nova Stone covers approximately 95 sq. ft. when applied at (1/8”) one-eighth of an inch.

Preparation:
PAF Nova Stone must be applied over dry, clean surfaces, free of dust and imperfections. Basecoats receiving PAF Nova Stone shall be completely cured for a minimum of 24 hours prior to application of PAF Nova Stone. If applied over concrete surfaces, concrete must be cured for a minimum of 28 days prior to application of PAF Nova Stone. All receiving substrates shall be coated with PAF Primer prior to PAF Nova Stone applications. PAF Primer must be dry before PAF Nova Stone is applied.

Mixing:
PAF Nova Stone shall be mixed for 1 minute with a mixing blade powered by a 450-500 rpm drill, prior to application of the material. Do not overmix. A small amount of water may be added to adjust workability. Do not add more than 6 oz of water per pail.

Application:
PAF Nova Stone is applied in a single coat process. Apply an even-thin coat using a steel towel, not exceeding 1/8” in thickness. After the coat is applied, lightly float the surface with a plastic trowel. A float may be used to bring out the aggregate to the surface. Float lightly over the finished surface, cleaning the float several times in the process.

Curing:
PAF Nova Stone drying is dependent upon environmental conditions. Under average conditions (70°F) PAF Nova Stone will dry in 48 hours.  Lower temperature conditions require PAF Nova Stone to be covered or protected for longer periods.

Limitations:
Surface temperatures shall not be below 50°F (10°C). Environment temperature must be between 50°F (10°C) and 90°F (32°C) for PAF Nova Stone applications. Do not use PAF Nova Stone on exposed exterior horizontal surfaces. Do not apply PAF Nova Stone on surfaces that will receive sealant.
